Maintain sound BU Financial Reporting environment. Ensure that sound financial management and reporting practices are implemented and applied in the Business Unit. Ensure effective, accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external shareholders while expertly utilising reporting software. Coach team members to independently execute activities.
Key Accountabilities
Group management reporting
Coordination of month end management reporting, link between business and group management reporting teams
Review / preparation all PVPY's on a monthly basis as required by TM1.
Analyse variances and obtain understanding. • Review / preparation of month results packs
Preparation of cash flow forecasts
Prepare business meeting pack information for the CFO Southern Africa
Review / assist in preparation of Opscom reports & slides
Review / assist in preparation of consolidated investor relations inputs (including analyst book, road show Q&A, results announcement, integrated report)
Prepare analytical reviews for financial period closing purposes
Responding to ad hoc reporting requests from financial controlling and group teams.
Coordination and review of contracts relating to relevant business units, to ensure compliance with IFRS standards
Influence management / business partners on financial decisions including scenario analysis to make informed decisions.
Below is applicable for year end, forecasts and budgets:
Managing and coordinating year end, budget and forecast cycles (timelines and being central contact for stakeholders involved)
Preparation of relevant consolidated reporting pack for business unit (budget / forecast presentation)
Review of evidence presented for Sox testing
Updating of all works procedures, where applicable
Review Sox control matrix for your area of responsibility.
Formal Education
4-Year University Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
Working Experience
9+ relevant years in finance or related field (less years of relevant experience will be required should you have a completed Hons degree or higher)
