    Chemical Plant Controller (CPC) GP - Gasification West Production x2

    Purpose of Job

    • To coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services for a specific process within a production line, through control panel management and more complex troubleshooting.

    Credit Supervisor

    Purpose of Job

    • To implement financial processes, systems and action plans in support of business and financial objectives.
    • To manage the debtor’s book according to established accounts receivable policies and agreed terms.
    • To implement Credit Management policies and procedures in order to maximize sales and profitability and to minimize bad debts.
    • Train and coach credit controllers on the credit policy and collection process/procedure.
    • Provide guidance to direct reports regarding compliance to policies and the implementation of operational procedures.
    • To ensure timeous debt collection in terms of credit exposure, whilst adhering to internal controls.
    • Manage a team of at least 3 Credit Controllers including Performance management and people development  
    • Ensure compliance and corporate governance in debtors reporting, audit (both external and internal), work procedures, management of credit exposure, and internal controls within Credit Control environment.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Manage Business Unit debtors’ book including collections according to established accounts receivable policies and procedures for area of responsibility.
    • Have experience in the Export debtor’s environment including forex dealings, Letter of Credit process and preparing of accurate cash flow forecast relating to Letter of Credit and payments in advance.
    • Approval of Debtor’s reconciliation and debit and credit notes as per DoA
    • Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external customers and with the marketing/sales team, in order to balance customer needs with good credit management.
    • Manage debtor’s book of the Business Unit, within approved credit limit and terms. Ensure corrective action taken on anomalies. Reduce overdue and set targets for credit controllers. Ensure timeous query resolution.
    • Constructive relationship with external customers and marketing teams to manage the credit extension in line with business requirements.
    • Compliance and adherence to all SOX/Business Control, relevant statutory requirements of IFRS, Tax etc. Provide accurate information to internal and external auditors.
    • Ensure that responsibilities and accountability of team members are adequately fixed.

    Credit Controller

    Purpose of Job

    • Control debtors’ accounts as per agreements and in adherence with credit management policies and procedures to minimise bad debts.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Manage debtors book according to established Accounts Receivables policies and procedures and agreed terms
    • Follow up on overdue accounts to reduce debtors’ DSO and achieve set targets.
    • Prepare and submit reports on overdue and term accounts.
    • Collect bad debts in a timely manner and within agreed payment terms.
    • Carry out accurate reconciliation between customer and debtors accounts.
    • Release orders for blocked accounts as per approvals and delegation of authority.
    • Prepare credit/debit, refund, and rebates requests and attach relevant supporting documents.

    • Process monthly interest charges on defaulting customers as per agreed credit policy.
    • Accurately allocate payments.
    • Have experience in the Export debtor’s environment including forex dealings, Letter of Credit process and payments in advance.
    • Communicate with internal and external customers
    • Handle customer queries on invoices and maintain records on system. Assist internal and external auditors as needed.
    • Comply to policies, credit legislation, International Accounting Standards (IAS), provisions of SOX control, relevant statutory requirements of IFRS, Companies Act, and NCA.
    • Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.

    Snr Reliability Engineer

    Purpose of Job

    • A Senior Reliability Engineer will apply Asset Management principles to enable the safe and cost-effective utilisation of assets throughout life cycle.
    • Asset Management is inclusive of maintenance (ensure equipment is safe, available and reliable to perform its function) and production (ensure safe and effective utilisation of equipment) management

    Key Accountabilities

    • Supply reliability metrics inputs into the RAM studies
    • Perform inherent risk analysis on equipment through conversion from RBI and facilitated sessions, using PCMS.
    • Assist with the justification of critical spares holding as well as assessing optimal maintenance interventions through product life-cycle costing (LCC) analysis using the Salvo DST (or similar) software
    • Use RBI outcomes for pressure equipment and piping and through facilitated contact sessions for electrical, instrumentation and rotating equipment to indicate end of live and recommend renewal of the equipment
    • Equipment Maintenance Strategy (EMS) development and implementation through the application of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
    • Risk Based Inspection (RBI) application on pressure vessels and piping
    • Deviation Management (DM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) inclusive of quality reporting of the outcomes and health of the management system
    • Reliability Performance Tools & Techniques (RPTT) which relates to the use of SAP (CMMS) functionality and sources of data to be used in reliability, failure and data analysis as well as the reporting of bad actor equipment Integrity studies to identify the cause of bad actor equipment and recommend possible solutions to improve performance Integrate the outcome of Operate within Agreed Parameter (OWAP) monitoring initiatives by all engineering disciplines in support of managing the risk of equipment failure on operations Apply the asset management process model (operations core processes) in the relevant operation department

    • Support the relevant personnel in the operations departments to obtain the necessary competence in reliability practices through training, facilitation and coaching
    • Play an important role in the prioritisation of improvement activities and projects within the operations departments based on the benefits of OEE improvements
    • Track the health of reliability governance processes in operations departments and influence proper application of such governance
    • Help to ensure that reliability metrics are established, optimised and the trends reported on to drive the continuous improvement of sustainable operations

    Snr Instr & Control Engineer

    Purpose of Job

    • Provide governance and expert support to control and instrumentation (C&I) fraternity in areas of technology, engineering and commissioning.  This includes small project support i.e.  scope/engineering reviews, technology selection, technical Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC), instrumentation/system installation and commissioning.
    • Lead and guide colleagues in terms of best practices and governance in the instrumentation & control and production fraternities to ensure plant availability and efficient operation
    • Support and drive investigations and apply analytical skills for root cause analysis (RCA)
    • Support and drive emerging C&I technology e.g. wireless, digitalisation, operator effectiveness, system interfacing / monitoring to improve Sasol operations by maximising availability and production outputs.
    • Manage interfaces with various disciplines (mechanical, electrical etc.)  within Sasol Secunda, other Sasol OMEs and with external entities e.g. service providers, government offices etc. 
    • Coaching and training of peers/colleagues/junior engineers in C&I requirements
