Manager: IT Operations - Corporate Office Cape Town at The Building Company

Description

• Maintain and optimize company networks and servers
•  Be responsible for device and password management
•  Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls)
•  Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
•  Assess system performance and recommend improvements
•  Resolve issues escalated by technicians and engineers
•  Provide support and guidance to stakeholders directly and via the support channels
•  Help to develop IT policies, procedures, and practices
• To uphold and promote the company values and culture

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Qualification/certification in IT-related field or relevant experience
• Proven experience as IT Operations Manager is preferred
• Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis
• Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing
• Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. POPIA)
