Job Purpose

• Managing and leading all aspects of the Meter Reading Division to ensure that meter reading functions are carried out effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Aligning functional roles and objectives of the departmental strategy and requirements.
• Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the key functional areas of the Department.
• Managing and reviewing all aspect of the Branch including the operation business policies, methodologies, and technologies.
• Ensuring that customer refunds and financial transactions are correctly processed in the building and ledger systems by the proper costing entries and on-line processing.
• Prepares capital and operating estimates for the Bench and approves and controls project related expenditure against budget allocations.
• Manages specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of the functionality.
• Disseminate functional information on current activities proposed course of action/developments, problems and constraints.
• Attending court hearings where required.
• Responsible for the overall administration of special relating areas (SRA) in the eThekwini region.
• Manage completeness of billing.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary Qualification (NQF Level 7) in the Finance Field.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• Must be in possession of National Treasury MFMA minimum competency qualification (NQF 6) OR must obtain a National Treasury MFMA minimum competency qualification (NQF 6) within 18 months of date of appointment.
• 5 years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a supervisory level.

Preferred Requirements

• Postgraduate Qualification (NQF Level 8) in the Finance Field.
• 6 years relevant experience of which 4 years must be at a supervisory level.
