Manager: Multimedia Platforms at Rhodes University

Purpose

• To manage the Multi-media Unit of the Division for Communication and Advancement. Contribute to the development of and, oversee the implementation of the institutional multi-media strategy, manage the University’s use of online digital platforms (websites, intranet, social media, campus displays etc.).

 
Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification plus approximately 6 years’ relevant experience where such experience includes: -  

• At least 3 years’ previous experience within the web development services environment and the remainder of the experience gained in a variety of IT settings.
• Experience in full stack web development environment would be a distinct advantage.
• At least 2 years’ staff supervision team/leadership experience
• A strong grasp of web technologies and how these fit together with other technologies
• Evidence of relevant front end development projects accomplished is essential
