Manager - Night Duty at Mediclinic

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure continuous safe patient care and a positive patient experience by coordinating clinical and non-clinical resources and services at night.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Continuously deliver a quality service to patients in accordance with patient safety standards
• Achieve the clinical quality standards according to policies and procedures
• Ensure the optimal utilisation and competence of staff whose behaviour reflects the organisation’s core values
• Ensure continuation of patient care through effective supervision
• Co-ordinate resources efficiently to enhance safe patient care

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

B degree or diploma in nursing

DESIRED EDUCATION

• Relevant Management and leadership qualification

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

•  5 yrs clinical experience as a Professional Nurse

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• 2 to 3 yrs management experience at the unit level (SPN/UM)
