    • A fast growing FinTech start-up is breaking down the barriers to access funding for small businesses across South Africa. Traditional loans from banks and other lenders have a slow application process, strict criteria, require a lot of documentation, and inflexible terms. In contrast, this company uses tech and data science to offer flexible funding online, with a 2-minute application, no documentation required, and a decision in a matter of hours.

    Role Description

    • As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for tracking and analysing the performance of advertising campaigns, managing the marketing budget and ensuring that all marketing material is in line with the company’s brand identity. To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with social media and paid search campaigns and be able to turn creative ideas into effective marketing projects. Ultimately, you will help the company build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels. In addition to a competitive salary, you'll also get sponsorship for pre-approved online courses, tech conferences and other events; flexible work hours and work-from-home days each week (the company is currently 100% remote, but will remain partially remote post-COVID). When you are at the office, you'll have access to a fully stocked bar and a gym that includes free classes several times a week, plus great coffee and lots of snacks.

    Salary

    • Up to R60,000 per month (Dependent on experience)

    Responsibilities

    • Drive acquisition of new SME customers
    • Plan and execute marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels (especially paid search, paid social, and outbound email)
    • Manage and coordinate contractors and agencies
    • Conceptualise and execute marketing campaigns
    • Track and analyse campaign performance, gather insights and optimise accordingly
    • Define, iterate on and implement the company’s marketing strategy

    Requirements

    • Tertiary degree in a marketing related qualification from a top-rated university
    • 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar growth/digital marketing role 
    • Experience in managing email, social media, and/or paid search campaigns
    • Have strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis and excel
    • Experience working with marketing automation, and A/B testing/optimisation tools
    • Be resourceful, self-motivated, innovative and excellent at project management
    • Must have excellent business acumen and the ability to measure and analyse results and ROI
    • Must be passionate about growing small businesses across South Africa
    • Experience in B2B marketing, or running a marketing department at a tech start-up is a plus
