Job Objectives

Customers

• Data quality detection and monitoring
• Identify, assist and resolve Business data quality issues affecting the Retail Division (Shoprite operations)
• Assist the Retail network with the identification of information needs to ensure data supports reporting needs
• First Line Support
• Assist with communication of data quality requirements

Business Processes

• Provide Business data support
• Promote data quality
• Data maintenance and analysis
• Provide support for data related projects 
• Control Data business rules to support Business Processes 
• Identify opportunities for improvements 
• Identify Root Cause of quality non-conformance 
• Assist with implementation of best practices 
• Assist with, standards and quality processes 
• Implement changes to data, the addition of new data sets.
• Resolve, or help to resolve, data quality problems through appropriate error detection & correction

General 

• To effectively manage one’s own time and workload

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma in Data Management

Experience

• Workplace/Industry knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of Shoprite Business processes
• Technical awareness, e.g. master data management
• Experience with master data and GS1 standards
• Business, Process and root cause Analysi
