    Material Recording Clerk (Buyer)

    Requirements :

    • A Grade 12 certificate is required, coupled with a National Diploma (equivalent to NQF level 6)/ Bachelor’s Degree (equivalent to NQF level 7) in Supply Chain Management/Logistics Management/Public Management/ or equivalent, plus a computer literacy certificate.
    • Experience in a public health environment will be an added advantage. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, and to attend to details and ensure the correctness of data/information. Ability to work under pressure and to work in a team.
    • Be prepared to work overtime when required to meet deadlines. Good communication skills and interpersonal relations. Must be a client-oriented person. Computer knowledge and literacy are compulsory. Knowledge of SRM / SAP.

    Duties :

    • Demand & Acquisition management processes, including registration of end-user requirements, RFQ administration process for goods and services, generation of shopping carts for purchase orders, and expediting of Purchase Orders.
    • Assist end users in drafting specifications and obtaining material master numbers. Check and evaluate the compliance of all quotations received before presentation to the QAC committees.
    • Handling of end-user queries and reporting on progress. Handle queries presented to the department and provide a report on relevant functions as allocated. Conduct stock taking periodically and ensure that there is always enough stock in the warehouse all the time. Compile and submit reports as per the relevant function and support the Warehouse with queries.
