    Material Recording Clerk

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months’ appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management. Diploma/degree in Logistics / Purchasing or Supply chain management will be an added advantage.
    • Knowledge and understanding of SRM, PAS, SAP. Knowledge and understanding of SCM prescripts, PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE Act, National Treasury Regulations, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act.
    • Competencies needed: Computer skills, Communication (verbal and writing skills), Report Writing, Presentation, Financial Management Analysis, Planning and Organizing. Interpersonal Relations. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Current and former EPWP participants, Interns and COVID-19 contract officials are encouraged to apply.

    Duties :

    • Render administrative support in issues pertaining to SCM for the District Office and always ensure compliance with SCM prescripts. Assist in managing incoming and outgoing documents within the SCM directorate.
    • Management of the 0-9 file and follow up on outstanding orders. Receive goods from suppliers and capture GRV timeously.
    • Proper management of the IMS, and effective management of accruals. Follow up on outstanding payments of suppliers. Follow up the barcoding of equipment by Asset management upon receipt.
    • Compile monthly stock recon. Monitor the creation of Purchase Orders and forward to suppliers timeously. Monitor the receiving of goods and services according to the Purchase Order. Management of contracts and avoid deviation. Management of supplier`s performance. Train End Users on any new developments within SCM. Assist in stocktaking. Preparation of reports for Supply Chain Manager. Maintain proper filling system for easy retrieval of documents.
    • Attend to Audit queries. Keep and maintain all information within your directorate as confidential, and practice high ethical standards. Deal with any discrepancies that might arise within the area of your responsibility. Carry out any other instructions from the Supervisor or Supply Chain Manager.
