    Materials / Logistics Specialist

    Main purpose Manages the material supply in the plant, given production levels and avoiding any materials incidents and is responsible for the material provisioning to the line in terms of current needs and deadlines.

    Key Responsibility Areas Would Include

    • Manages the material supply in the plant, given production levels and avoiding any material incidence
    • Responsible for the material provisioning to the line in terms of current needs and deadlines
    • Implements and promotes the accomplishment of Company norms and policies
    • Defines and follows up any needed activity to assure the normal material supply, in order to communicate it to planning to prevent supplier’s unfulfillment
    • Manages and analyses raw material purchasing stocks, proposing the creation or not of security stocks
    • Stimulates and analyses possible stock breaking or surplus, according to plant plan and takes corrective measures needed
    • Prepares and analyses preliminary programs hands-outs according to the plant production master plan
    • Proposes additional charges to suppliers notifying production, invoicing, purchasing and accountancy
    • Analyses materials and suppliers change in case of extreme necessity
    • Liaise with Quality control regarding rejected material
    • Assures the accomplishment of the negotiated compromises with each supplier by the Purchasing Department
    • Collaborates with Purchasing implementing policies regarding material provisioning
    • Analyses and manages stock, surplus and obsoletes evolution in conjunction with planning


    Educational Requirements

    • National Diploma or B-Tech Degree in Logistics or Purchasing Management

    Related Experience

    • At least 5 years in harness or automotive manufacturing industry.
    • Experience gained working in QAD would be advantageous.
    • Good computer skills, especially in MS Excel.
