Materials Master Data Administrator at Mondi Group

Job Purpose:

• Reporting to the Lead MRP Controller, the successful incumbent will need to execute, the Spares Management functions that will support the Lead MRP Controller, procurement, and other business functions to improve business processes. This position will support both Richards Bay and Merebank sites.

Qualifications & Expertise:

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent with Maths and Science
• Completed N6 Diploma in Supply Chain or N6 in mechanical/electrical technical field of study.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehousing/Logistics/Inventory
• 5 years relevant working experience in SAP Inventory and Spare part management.
• Management or Maintenance Planning/Works Management.
• In depth knowledge of SAP Materials Management or Work Order Management is advantageous
   

Job Experience:

• Procurement systems and data management or quality management systems (IMS)
• Continuous improvements of SAP material master management processes and activities
• Executing the MRP SAP systems and drive MRP KPI’s
• Spare Part Management including MRP processes.
• Planning and Prioritization of SAP material master data management improvements in responsibility area.
   

Key Performance Areas:

• Execute daily MRP functions.
• Prioritise urgent matters and possible stock out situations as required.
• Execute the functions of SAP material master data codes daily, correcting identified issues using SAP system tools and transactions to ensure uninterrupted procurement processes related to the SAP material master data management system, including but not limited to MRP changes, spare part data management changes inventory levels identifying critical items and obsolete stock management.
• Execute daily material master data by correcting all master data errors within SAP, to ensure proper mapping of all system items enhancing correctness of material master data and optimal functionality of the SAP system.
• Execute the effective management and loading into SAP all new material masters by taking ownership of the data registration process and the SAP system. This process is to take cognisance of end user generated requests for new material masters, as well as to codify existent multiple direct spend as identified through the free text ordering SAP screen.
• Gate keep and challenges all free text  orders daily prior to them reaching the buyers cockpit to ensure that duplication with existing Mondi stock items is minimised hence eliminating unnecessary spend.
• Ensures high availability and accuracy of SAP MM Master Data and systems in area of responsibility.
• Review and execute change requests from end users ensuring that they are delivered on time and to agreed customer specifications and requirements.
• Treat all SAP Master Data in any format as classified and confidential.
• Execute any other reasonable tasks as instructed by Line Management.
• Execute SAP Master Data requests for stock optimisation is recorded in SAP, through engagement with Line Manager.
   

Job Competencies/ Attributes/Skills:

• Mill wide Spare part management, inventory analysis.
• Inspect high volumes of free text orders timeously to ensure continuity of supply of materials to the mill.
• Execute all SAP Master Data notifications for new stock commodities and existing stock where material master data have changed.
• Execute SAP Master Data notifications from CAPEX projects.
• Facilitate and assist during breakdown situations and urgent screening of works orders.  
• Execute Annual Shut spare requirements.
