Mechanic General x3 Field Service Global Grade 08 - Isando at Barloworld Equipment

Key Output

• Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance and repairs as per OEM requirements.
• Systematic and efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose machine systems problems and carry out repairs on earthmoving equipment on customer or BWE sites.
• Compile accurate customer machine reports that include failure analysis, condition, service, Machine Inspection Reports (MIR's)
• Maintain professional image and meet customer requirements when representing BWE.
• Ensure complying to safe work practices when working on machines.
• Maintain and control Contamination Control Standards and high level of housekeeping.
• Responsible and Control of own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurate! Maintained (ISO standards)

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic/ Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) NQF 3
• Minimum 4 years post qualification experience on earthmoving machines (Minimum 2 years Caterpillar experience) Applicable fundamental product knowledge (Caterpillar).
• Caterpillar Machine specific technical knowledge and skills (Caterpillar Certification an advantage) Sound trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good technical report writing skills.
• Good Computer Literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge, Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Sound interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic business and financial understanding.
• Understanding of OEM and supplier warranty systems, policies & procedures Good health - meet Company and customer site compliance requirements. Have basis personal hand tools (BWE standard kit)
• Motor vehicle driver licence - Code B
• Prepare to work overtime as per business requirements.
• Prepare to travel occasionally to other branches or sites for working.
• Prepare to work occasionally away from home on short notice and undefine periods.
