Mechanical Field Engineer (ASU Plant) _Vanderbijlpark
This role is responsible for providing critical machine expertise, offering troubleshooting support, and ensuring effective management of shutdowns to maintain operational efficiency for On-Sites plants. Reporting to the Senior Field Engineer. The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Manage maintenance budget allocated to equipment repairs schedule.
Ensure and enforce legal statutory requirements compliance.
Manage spares and ensure machine availability for production.
Safely perform major maintenance, pre-planned work on shutdowns and major machine overhauls.
Managing equipment history and upgrading existing history system.
Ensure effective contractor management.
Essential Requirements
A minimum Mechanical Fitter qualification (Red seal trade tested) is compulsory;
Knowledge of ASU plant with a minimum of 5 years’ experience;
Good knowledge of rotating equipment;
Excellent verbal and written communication;
Must be computer Literate, proficient in the MS Office Suite.
