Job Description

• A well-established manufacturing organization seeking to strengthen its maintenance team is looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Supervisor. It is a fast-paced manufacturing environment comprising mechanical, CNC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment, with associated electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime
• Responsible for the whole factory; maintenance, breakdowns, fabrication and general site facilities
• Maintenance planning and documentation in accordance with ISO9001 & IATF16949.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical faults efficiently
• Manage maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Appointed as GMR 2.1, with the associated legal responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of the relevant machinery and equipment.

Requirements:

• Qualified Fitter & Turner or Millwright with a completed trade test
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical system
• Strong practical electrical experience required, even if not formally electrically qualified
• Experience of CNC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment, with associated electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• PLCs and automation systems
• Preventive and predictive maintenance practices
