Mechanised Bookbinder at Novus Holdings Ltd

• Novus Print: Montague Gardens is currently seeking to permanently appoint a competent individual with knowledge and experience in an FMCG printing environment to take on the role of a Mechanised Bookbinder in the Bindery department. The successful candidate will report to the Shift Leader: Bindery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Responsible for the binding process of books, magazines and commercial work
• Maintenance of Perfect Binders and Stitchers
• Meet specific job specifications and quality standards
• Ensure that quality control checklists are completed and kept up to date
• Monitor and ensure safety devices are functional at all times
• Setup machine and run job according to the work ticket
• Follow all relevant SOP’s and complete all checklists
• Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective production and distribution of goods
• Managing a team
• Maintain general health and safety standards in the production environment
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained

Educational Requirements    

• Grade 12
• Mechanised bookbinder trade certification 

Experience Requirements    

• 3-5 Years Mechanised bookbinding experience
