Demonstrate value for the business and customers aligned to the five key accountability areas: (1) Scientific Engagement (2) Insights Generation (3) Support Data Generation and Dissemination (4) Internal Collaboration (5) Compliance.
Co-creates/develops Country Medical Plans (with Medical Head) and leads execution of such plans in alignment to global and local medical priorities leveraging on available resources.
Ensures individual and cross functional team performance goals are set and met through monitoring metrics, resources and budgets ensuring excellence in execution and achieving KPIs.
Engages in fair and balanced scientific exchanges with key external stakeholders by maintaining relevant, robust and current clinical / scientific knowledge of healthcare landscape and therapeutic area expertise.
Ensures all compliance and governance processes are adhered to.
Use innovative and digital approaches to ensure efficient execution of the country medical plans.
Key Accountabilities:
Translate country medical plans into specific goals and outcomes.
Support local and corporate business objectives by active teamwork and interaction with internal colleagues and external contacts.
Provide medico-marketing support for departments by leveraging and developing both internal and external Key Opinion Leaders, KOLs, contacts and by actively keeping abreast of the latest developments in the therapeutic area and proactively implementing and sharing this knowledge to shape, support and promote commercial objectives in these fields.
Initiate insight gathering activities, (e. g. advisory boards) to support local medical and commercial objectives.
Initiate and lead data dissemination activities aligned to the global and local medical priorities.
Develop and foster excellent relationships with KOLs/ Key External Experts, KEE, through co-participation in advisory boards, attendance at congress, forums and other meetings by proactively developing and fostering these relationships in all contacts and settings
Initiate, develop and approve promotional material in accordance to legal and company guidelines, ensuring all compliance and quality standards are met.
Assist medical information, excellence and operations function meet objectives in a time and customer sensitive manner and maintain audit readiness.
Assisting the pharmacovigilance department in responding to pharmacovigilance queries and customer complaints (internal and external) in a timely and professional manner
Assist the regulatory in interactions with internal and external customers when called upon.
Manage access programs for unregistered medicine, supplying necessary health authority documentation, ensuring appropriate candidate selection according to program eligibility criteria, and providing appropriate site training on the unregistered medicine.
About You
Medical Degree or PhD in related field or BPharm coupled with a post graduate qualification
Minimum 5 years industry experience
Thorough working knowledge of current and likely future clinical therapeutic practice as well as developments in the healthcare system
Good understanding of the commercial implications of the business
Strong stakeholder relationships within the industry
