Medical Doctor at International SOS

We provide medical assistance and support to our clients and their members / insured entities on a global basis. This includes direct contact with the members, clients, colleagues, relatives and medical providers to perform an appropriate risk assessment and providing the necessary medical support, including but not limited to appropriate medical advice, referrals, medical monitoring and medical evacuations and repatriations. 

Some of our other assistance services includes Standard Topside Medical Support, Telemedicine, Occupational Health, Industrial Medicine and Emergency Medicine within highly regulated environments such as offshore, commercial maritime and aviation.

This role will be responsible for providing clear leadership in the delivery of professional and effective medical assistance services and/or WorkHealth services for clients of Intl. SOS to the highest standards of excellence.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• At least 5 years post community service
• Suitable private General Practice experience; Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS or equivalent.
• Computer Literacy
• Excellent command of English (verbal and written)
• French or Portuguese language skills highly advantageous
• Previous experience in international medical assistance or remote medical services and/or any training/diploma or qualification in Travel/Tropical Medicine, Emergency Medicine and or Family Medicine will also be an advantage to applicants.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery
• Full HPCSA Registration for Independent Practice as General Practitioner or Specialist
• Valid Passport (the successful candidate will be required to obtain a passport should he/she not have one at the time of offer).
