MBCHB or equivalent qualification that allows registration with HPCSA as a Medical Officer. Minimum of six months experience as a Medical Officer after registration with HPCSA. Candidate must have keen interest in emergency medicine and hold either a DIPPEC or FCEM Part 1. Current registration with HPCSA. Be able to work commuted overtime.
Duties :
Co-ordinate clinical and administration services in the department. Maintain satisfactory clinical, professional, and ethical standards related to these services. Ensure effective and efficient services to contribute to optimal health care.
Supervision of and effective utilization of medical staff. Responsible for training and teaching of Medical Interns, junior doctors, and students. Assist in the implementation of department policies and programs. Participate in academic activities in the hospital and in the cluster.
