An appropriate minimum qualification (MBChB/MBBCh) that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
Proof of current registration with HPCSA as an independent medical practitioner for the year 2025/2026. Ability to work compulsory commuted overtime. Computer literacy essential.(Digital equipment).
Must have basics knowledge in interpreting and reporting CT scans and Ultrasound. Demonstration of good working ethics, including reliability, discipline, the capacity to work under pressure.
Capability to function independently as well as effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Applicants must be solution-oriented and possess sound decision-making skills. Must be available to resume duties immediately.
Duties :
Diagnostic Radiology department provides a 24-hour service. Candidate will have to participate in the after-hours call roster. This is a compulsory non-negotiable requirement.
Assist in interpreting scans and X-rays to interns and junior MOs if they struggle after hours, and students. Participate and facilitate in CPD as required by the HPCSA.
To adhere to Batho Pele principles, National core standards, Quality Assurance and other Public Service policies and acts. Carry out duties delegated by the departmental management.
Must be a team player within the department and institution. May be delegated to run the department time and again when there are no seniors.
