MBChB and appropriate qualifications that allow registration with HPCSA as an Independent Medical Practitioner.
Current registration with HPCSA as an Independent Medical Practitioner. Diploma in Ophthalmology, Surgical experience and Microsurgery course will be added as an advantage.
Duties :
In and outpatient medical care. Assist consultants with surgical procedures. Develop surgical skills.
Prepare, present and attend academic meetings. Preparation and completion of dissertation.
Do overtime and after hours’ call. Perform minor outpatient procedures.
Prepare for examinations. Clinical administration tasks include maintaining patient records, coordinating care, and participating in ward rounds and meetings.
Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
