Introduction

• An opportunity has become available for a Medical Technologist: Cellular Therapy. The incumbent will perform the overall operations in the Cellular Therapy Laboratory in relation to routine and specialised technical functions, quality and administration.

Job Specific Requirements:

• Provide 24-hour technical support and consultation to stakeholders if required.
• National / international travel as required.
• Driver's license and out of hours transport necessary.
• Overtime as and when required.
• Participate in rostered call duty, when required.
• Proficient eye-sight and reasonable mobility.

Minimum requirements

• HPCSA Registered Medical Technologist in Blood Transfusion / Clinical Pathology/Haematology OR HPCSA registered Medical Scientist 

Other Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of Blood Transfusion and Stem Cell Standards.
• Understanding of HPCSA regulations.
• Understanding of SANAS regulations and audit process.
• SAP and Meditech.
