Metallurgy Administrator at Samancor Chrome

Job Responsibilities:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:

• Participate and comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Ensure the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996 (Act No. 29 of 1996) safety and health standards are maintained
• Ensure PPE bulk stock level is maintained. Issuing of PPE to employees.

CUSTOMERS:

• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Key Customers: Metallurgy Shift Supervisors, Practitioners, Specialist & Superintendent, Finance and Procurement.

BUSINESS PROCESSES:

• Initiate buying process with procurement (create purchase requisitions in COUPA)
• Follow up on outstanding Purchase Requisitions / Orders
• Receive invoices for sign off (Supplier invoicing)
• Assist with compilation of process maintenance plan/schedule
• Expedite urgent Orders on COUPA
• Maintain Critical Spares Register for Metallurgy Store
• Track repair process on all process equipment sent for repair
• Maintain Ferrosilicon Management & Usage Report
• Maintain Flocculant Usage Report
• Compile weekly and monthly cost reports per section
• Generation of meeting minutes
• Preparation and sign off of scope of work documents as and when required
• Administration for Metallurgy PPE issuing, ensuring approvals followed

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 10 / N1
• Computer Literacy (MS Office)
• Must have experience in the plant
• Must have previous experience on SAP & Coupa

Additional Qualifications:
