Microbiologist Lab Assistant at Phakisa Group

Role Summary

• The Microbiologist will conduct various microbiological tasks across both Fungi and Inoculants laboratories. The incumbent will be responsible for communicating daily activities to the Senior Microbiologist and Quality Manager to ensure the timely release of results and the smooth execution of routine laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Media Preparation
• Housekeeping
• Quality Control Testing
• General Duties
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Turnaround times for testing
• Accurate record of routine stock takes to inform procurement
• Timeous updating of QC database
• Release of results within agreed timeframes

Qualifications & Experience

• National Diploma in Biotechnology or equivalent (essential)
