    Mill Wide - Foreman Shift (Shalaamboot)

    As a Mill Wide - Foreman Shift, you will be responsible for:

    • Coordinate the execution of breakdown maintenance tasks by evaluating resource availability and prioritise resources as per Mill priority list.
    • Assesses equipment, materials and labour needed to complete large and/or complex maintenance tasks for the purpose of ensuring that maintenance activities meet district standards and resolve defined issue(s) while reducing wasted resources.
    • Manage by evaluate and initiate opportunity maintenance requirements as per procedure by assigning staff in resolving complex and/or difficult maintenance issues for the purpose of ensuring that Mill sections are  in a safe and effective working/learning environment.
    • Coordinates the services and activities of outside contractors as assigned for the purpose of ensuring that contracted work is completed in a safe, effective and timely manner that it meets Mill’s standards and objectives.
    • Manage assigned tools, equipment and vehicle(s) for the purpose of ensuring their availability as needed to meet assigned maintenance objectives.
    • Performs a wide variety of skilled (and sometimes complex) maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring that maintenance issues are resolved and projects are completed in a safe, effective and timely manner.
    • Prepares a shift report for the purpose of documenting activities and complying with Mill and/or legal requirements
    • Effective shut planning and assist with shut execution as required.
    • Improve Master data accuracy
    • Comply with works order business process
    • Knowledge sharing within and across teams.
    • Managing and plan skills development requirements  by updating  personal development plan according to the position profile
    • Manage personnel performance through standard performance assessment procedure
    • Manage attendance (time keeping) and maintain leave roster
    • Participate in recruitment and selection process.
    • Communicates with the internal and external suppliers / Customers
    • Responds to the customer feedback and takes corrective action if required
    • Manage personal fixed costs and assist with management of plant maintenance costs (within budget)
    • Required to work overtime

    What are we looking for?

    • Relevant NQF Level 5 qualification or N4 – N6 with Maths and Science
    • Recognised Trade Certificate (Manpower/Seta accredited)
    • 5 years’ plant operations experience
    • Computer Literate (MS Office Package)
    • Valid driving license
    • Pulp and Paper industry experience advantageous
    • SAP knowledge advantageous
