    Mill Wide - Foreman Shift (Shalaamboot)

    As a Mill Wide - Foreman Shift, you will be responsible for:

    • Coordinate the execution of breakdown maintenance tasks by evaluating resource availability and prioritise resources as per Mill priority list.
    • Assesses equipment, materials and labour needed to complete large and/or complex maintenance tasks for the purpose of ensuring that maintenance activities meet district standards and resolve defined issue(s) while reducing wasted resources.
    • Manage by evaluate and initiate opportunity maintenance requirements as per procedure by assigning staff in resolving complex and/or difficult maintenance issues for the purpose of ensuring that Mill sections are  in a safe and effective working/learning environment.
    • Coordinates the services and activities of outside contractors as assigned for the purpose of ensuring that contracted work is completed in a safe, effective and timely manner that it meets Mill’s standards and objectives.

    Inventory Controller - Stanger

    As an Inventory Controller you will be responsible for:

    • Overseeing, planning, and ensuring mill material requirements are met.
    • Conducting planning, organising, and controlling of perpetual stock take.
    • Ensuring effective stores management of spares, packing material, raw materials, rotables, capital goods and machine clothing to ensure 100% stock availability.

    Projects Technician - Mandeni

    As a Technician : Projects, you will be responsible for:

    • Document the scope of each project and obtain approval from the project sponsor, finance and other parties depending on the amount and extent of the projects.
    • Follow Sappi governance processes on scope changes.
    • Obtain indicative quotes or use reference catalogues to determine the cost of the projects. Ensure that the costs are properly approved.
    • Develop time schedules for assigned projects. Small or routine projects typically complete under three months.
    • Contribute to the design of small projects by collecting technical information on the current processes and highlighting practical considerations based on plant observations.
    • Drive the scheduling, procurement, installation and commissioning of the new equipment for assigned projects.
    • Ensure that all governance requirements are met, particularly related to procurement practices.
    • Keep a log of risks and issues identified during scoping, planning or implementation.
    • Keep track of the open orders, cash flow forecast and payments processes for the assigned projects. Alert the project manager if there is likely to be an issue. Keep a particular eye on exchange rate fluctuations that could impact the project cost projection.
    • Update project documentation and load technical specifications and drawings on the correct folders for each project.

    What are we looking for?

    • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent
    • B Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Civil Engineering.
    • Pulp and Paper Processing experience/ qualification would be an added advantage.

    HR Consultant: Administration - umkomaas


    As an HR Consultant: Administration, you will be responsible for:

    • Ensure that payroll inputs are prepared correctly and submitted to Shared Services payroll timeously for processing
    • Monitor time administration and implement corrective actions for overdue time approvals before payroll cut-offs
    • Coordinate the administration involving the sign-on, transfer, promotions and terminations of permanent, contract and temporary employees
    • Control the manpower movements on the Employee Central and SAP systems

    • Prepare the manpower budget drafts for the business unit on an annual basis taking into account planned new hires, exit patterns, vacancy factors and planned retirements. Provide to the general manager for further discussion
    • Prepare the first draft of the HR team’s fixed cost budget for input by cost centre holders. Arrange for upload of the final budget to the finance system

    What are we looking for?

    • National Diploma in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
    • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources administration
    • Experience supervising a small team would be advantageous
    • Previous experience managing the service levels with a bureau or shared services payroll would be advantageous

    SAP & Maintenance Systems Specialist (KZN or Johannesburg)

    As a SAP and Maintenance Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for:

    • Review current SAP PM, PS & IM processes and identify problem areas, inefficiencies and control weaknesses. Proactively identify improvement opportunities.
    • Provide SAP PM, PS & IM subject matter input and facilitate the maintenance and development of these existing, improved and future business processes.
    • Investigate and implement new technology solutions that will enhance these business processes.
    • Participate in user acceptance testing. Provide detailed feedback on whether the developed solution meets the documented business requirements.
    • Review problem logs and identify the root causes of repetitive business issues.
    • Development and updating of the Regional Maintenance Policy, SAP Plant Maintenance and Projects System business processes.

    • Responsible for auditing the PS and Investment Module (IM) prior to year-end and guiding data cleanup in preparation for the new Capex, Renewal and Shut Budgets loaded into the Investment Module. Ensure Maintenance and reporting of Investment Management Budgets at Financial Year end and approved changes during the year are captured.
    • Responsible for the management of the SAP IM Module.
    • Provide SAP PS System Data in support of Regional Spend per project and Investment Reason.
    • Initiates the SAP PS Steering committee meeting for the sharing and development of PS Methodologies and Reports both PS and integration with PM.
    • Undertake RIS Projects as required which enhance Business Security and effectiveness for the PM,PS and IM Modules.

    • Physical audits/health checks on the SAP PM and PS systems

    What are we looking for?

    • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (S4 or N6) as a minimum requirement.

    As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for:

    • Execute assigned scheduled and / or planned maintenance tasks
    • Perform maintenance tasks

    As a Process Manager, you will be responsible for :

    Bale Line Operator Uptakes #3 (P13)

    As a Bale Line Operator Uptakes #3, you will be responsible for:

    • Safe start up and shut down of various operations throughout  the bale line from the cutter to the Unitizer
    • Ensure relevant packaging materials for bales are readily available (wire, wrapper, ink for labelling)
    • Safe operation of overhead crane/hoist for loading wire and wrapper rolls to the respective equipment
