    HR Consultant: Administration - umkomaas


    As an HR Consultant: Administration, you will be responsible for:

    • Ensure that payroll inputs are prepared correctly and submitted to Shared Services payroll timeously for processing
    • Monitor time administration and implement corrective actions for overdue time approvals before payroll cut-offs
    • Coordinate the administration involving the sign-on, transfer, promotions and terminations of permanent, contract and temporary employees
    • Control the manpower movements on the Employee Central and SAP systems
    • Ensure that employee records are maintained in line with document control and audit standards. Audit electronic personnel records to ensure completeness
    • Ensure that the business unit’s payroll queries from employees are resolved. Engage with Shared Services payroll as needed
    • Coordinate the registration and updates of in-house and third-party managed benefits including housing, long service awards, tool allowances, medical aid, provident funds, pension funds and gap cover. Conduct monthly audits to ensure conformance to policy requirements
    • Oversee the administration of death benefit claims and permanent and temporary disability benefits
    • Compile monthly HR department fixed cost budget vs actual reports. Flag overs and under for the HR Manager after investigating with the cost centre owners
    • Compile weekly and monthly HR reports including management information on absenteeism, workforce planning, retirements and personnel costs
    • Prepare the manpower budget drafts for the business unit on an annual basis taking into account planned new hires, exit patterns, vacancy factors and planned retirements. Provide to the general manager for further discussion
    • Prepare the first draft of the HR team’s fixed cost budget for input by cost centre holders. Arrange for upload of the final budget to the finance system

    What are we looking for?

    • National Diploma in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
    • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources administration
    • Experience supervising a small team would be advantageous
    • Previous experience managing the service levels with a bureau or shared services payroll would be advantageous
