    Enrolled Nurse at Nkangala

    Description

     Kwaggafontein is looking for One (1) ENs

    • Conduct medical pre-screening of initiates at three months and 4 weeks prior to initiation season. 
    • Conduct Customary Male Initiation bush visits and wound care management.
    • Conduct Pre, and Post-operative care for all clients during initiation.
    • Identify, record and refer all Adverse Event to the line manager.
    • Ensure all source documents are available and well utilized by the Roving team.
    • Ensure utilization of PPE materials at CMI site visits.
    • Ensure adherence to Infection Prevention and Control Standards during wound care and follow-up visits.
    • Ensure all follow-up and review of clients are conducted and documented accordingly.
    • Ensure Emergency Management/Referral Protocol are adhered to.
    • Assist in verification of all data before reporting.
    • Assist in compilation of the standardized progress report of the Roving team weekly to line Manager.
    • Review all follow-up source documents for completeness and outcome management.
    • Ensure that all the outcomes of referred clients are correctly documented.
    • Ensure that all Registers are reviewed and prepared for Department of Health quarterly submissions.
    • Assist in identification of training needs of staff and scheduling of appropriate trainings.
    • Assist in junior staff time management.
    • Supervise all counsellors and ensure adherence to VMMC SAG/WHO standards.
    • Assist in mentoring and supervision of locum staff.
    • Participate in continuous staff in-service Training/development.
    • Keep abreast with RTC Care policies.

    Requirements

    • Enrolled Nursing Diploma/Certificate
    • 2-3 Years as an Enrolled Nurse in the NGO/Community or a Hospital Environment 
    •   Knowledge of HIV/AIDS

    •  To analyze business and user requirements (functional and process)

    • A minimum of 5 years' direct involvement in a Business and/or Process Analysis unit with cross divisional/departmental information and process flows
    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a role in Public Services, and preferably in the public health sector
    • Experience with hospital information systems and having specific BA responsibilities for a large system deployment project spanning multiple sites
    • Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies
    • Strong computer technical skills
    • The ability to communicate confidently from both a business and a technical perspective, successfully translating executive, business corporate and application functional requirements to a technical community with minimum loss of understanding and appreciation.
    • Monitoring and managing the delivery of a final application outcome that answers for the agreed executive, business corporate and application functional requirements.

    Clinical Associate - Gert Sibande

    Description

    • Implement Voluntary Male Circumcision Programme (VMMC) at facility level in accordance with provincial and SA national guidelines
    • Ensure comprehensive package of VMMC services available
    • Maintain and respond to QA assessments
    • Ensure all Circumcised Clients are followed up as per SA/WHO guidelines
    • Management of VMMC related adverse events effectively
    • Obtain informed consent from clients by providing them with essential information as per the National Department of Health (NDoH) and PEPFAR VMMC/HTS guidelines. 
    • Provide age- and culturally appropriate group and individual counselling to clients within language of their understanding.
    • Screen patients for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) as per current STI guidelines and Tuberculosis (TB) by asking the four standard TB screening questions and refer patients accordingly.
    • Ensure that the key elements of VMMC education are included in counselling sessions (i.e. risks, benefits, description of surgery, explanation of partial protective effect of VMMC procedure, VMMC being a permanent procedure, importance of knowing HIV status, and post-operative care).
    • Conduct pre- and post-HIV counselling and testing as per most recent NDoH HTS guidelines
    • Ensure MMC targets for all facilities supported are met
    • Liaise with the Demand Creation officer and field recruiters to ensure effective recruitment of clients
    • Assist in establishment of new sites
    • Support and participate in demand creation activities
    • Align demand creation and clinical efforts to ensure collaboration in working towards targets.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to Demand Creation Officers and Social Mobilisers regarding demand creation programme performance

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in clinical medical Practice
    • At least 1-year experience in Public Health setting
    • At least 1-year experience in a surgical setting at Medical Male Circumcision facility
    • Vmmc certificate
    • Driving license

    Clerk - uMgungundlovu

    Description

    Right To Care is looking for a suitable qualified Clerk to be part of its operations in KwaZulu Natal at uMgungundlovu district.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Capture and scan all consent and follow-up forms from Right to Care-supported VMMC sites onto various systems.  All original documents must be submitted to the District Office within seven days after completion of the circumcision.
    • Record all consent forms onto VMMC registers.
    • Ensure data accuracy by identifying data quality errors and communicate these to the relevant stakeholders.
    • Verify the completeness of the consent-, follow-up forms and patient registers.
    • Verify the completeness and accuracy of information captured against the source document.  This verification must include both Right to Care and Department of Health data systems.
    • Screen all potential clients and ensure that they meet the specified and agreed criteria in order to be circumcised.
    • Report and submit daily, weekly, and monthly statistics from supported VMMC sites as per agreed deadlines, reporting criteria and procedures.
    • In collaboration with the national call centre, ensure that all leads are followed up and scheduled accurately with regular reporting as per national call centre requirements.
    • Ensure that the site visit and mentorship books are updated at all times.
    • Provide assistance to all people as per the Batho Pele and Patients’ Rights Charter principles.
    • Ensure proper stock control, and safety and security of assets at fixed sites.  

    Requirements

    • Matric (Senior Certificate)
    • Basic Computer Literacy
    • Valid code 10 driver's licence
    • 1 Year clerical experience
    • Qualification in Office Administration
    • 2-3 years clerical experience and basic VMMC knowledge

    • Dusting of furniture and blinds as well as cleaning of windows and doors

    • Ordering of groceries for the office (tea, coffee etc)
    • Assist with photocopying of documents when requested.
    • Stock control and monitoring for all chemicals and materials used.
    • Emptying of the shredder daily and as and when necessary
    • Assist receptionist when needed with binding etc.
    • Assist with the watering of plants as indicated.
    • Removal of all waste from the office to the waste area or recycling area
    • Assist with the recycling of paper form the office.
    • Assist with the locking and unlocking of various offices in the office.
    • And various other instructions in line with your duties as per your line manager
    • Reporting of any maintenance issues you may come across while cleaning.

    Requirements

    • At least grade 8
    • Certificate in Housekeeping and other
    • At least one (1) year cleaning experience
