Position Overview:

• Our division in Bloemfontein has an open position for a Millwright. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks and should be skilled in the following areas: 

Minimum Requirements    
Position Requirements/Qualification:

• Qualified Mechanical Artisan/Electrician (Red Seal certificate)
• Matric/Grade 12 certificate,
• Experience in a Production environment. Preferably FMCG.
• Minimum of 2 years of Mechanical Artisan/Electrical

Duties and Responsibilities    
Key performance areas (Duties and Responsibilities): 

• Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment according to specifications. This includes alignment, levelling, and calibration of machinery.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical failures and determine the appropriate corrective measures to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Reading Blueprints and Technical Drawings: Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand the specifications and requirements for machinery installation and repairs.
• Fabrication and Assembly: Fabricate and assemble components for machinery, including welding, cutting, and machining parts as necessary.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople, engineers, and management to coordinate maintenance, repair, and installation projects.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used, hours worked, and any issues faced.
• Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to apprentices or new employees in proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in machinery and technology to improve skills and enhance operational efficiency.
• Overtime and Standby: Standby duties are required according to the standby schedule, and overtime is required from time to time.
