To install, maintain, dismantle, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. They ensure production efficiency by aligning, balancing, and maintaining complex mechanical systems, such as conveyors, motors, and hydraulic components, while adhering to safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements
Millwright with trade test certificate.
Grade 12
Preferably 2 year’s relevant experience in food processing.
Must be fluent in English (speak, read, and write)
Good communication skills
Must be able to work independently and in a team.
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working with hands to fix hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components such as cylinders, pumps, conveyors, motors, valves, switchgear, Vsd’s, Plc’s, HMI’s and bearing assembles.
Excellent fault findings skills in electrical and mechanical areas.
Carry out Electrical and Mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure assets perform in line with the company’s safety, production, and quality requirements.
Ensure all plant machinery & equipment adhere to an acceptable working standard to achieve production targets without supervision.
Assemble, install, test and service plant machinery and equipment as per operational requirements.
Assist with maintaining and improving Safety and Health standards (OHSA) within the company.
Sound knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures. Ensuring proactive maintenance, repair, and service of equipment
Perform routine preventative maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic and conveyor systems to ensure that they run optimally.
Repairs of the valves and pumps.
Installations and maintenance of gearboxes and overhead lines.
Inspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose any malfunctions.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools (including turning)
Basic knowledge of refrigeration cooling systems.
Experience in meat injecting systems.
Willing to work shifts, standby an overtime.
Establishing of general sound working relationships.
