Minimum Requirements
Qualified Millwright (Red Seal certificate).
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Millwright.
Must have knowledge of VSD drives and PLC's.
Experience in a manufacturing environment and FMCG will be advantageous.
Experience in working on projects will be advantageous.
Must have a valid driver license with reliable transport.
Must be willing to travel.
Must be willing to work shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance - Responsible for the installation, assembly, and disassembly of machinery and equipment. They ensure that all components are properly aligned, calibrated, and functioning correctly.
Troubleshooting and Repair - Diagnose mechanical problems with machinery and equipment and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime. This involves identifying faulty parts, replacing or repairing them, and ensuring that the machinery is restored to optimal working condition.
Preventive Maintenance - Ensure the ongoing reliability and efficiency of machinery and equipment. This includes regular inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and replacements of worn-out components.
Safety Compliance - Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Ensure that machinery and equipment are meet safety standards and conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Documentation- Utilsing PRAGMA to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
Training and Support - Provide training and technical support to other personnel involved in equipment operation and maintenance.
Continuous Improvement - Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. Identifying areas for improvement, implementing innovative solutions, and collaborating with other team members to achieve common goals.
