Job Description

• RCL FOODS is seeking two Millwrights  to join our Baking Division.
• The role will be based in Pretoria West and report to the Maintenance Manager. 

Minimum Requirements    
Qualifications and experience 

• Millwright Trade
• 3 or more years of post-trade experience 
• PLC/VSD Drives experience
• Experience with panel wiring 
• Ability to prioritize workload 
• Report writing and analysis on job
• Mentoring apprentices 
• Must be able to work shifts and be available on callouts and standby 
• Driver’s license with own transport 
• Hands on experience with installation, maintenance and repairs of machinery such as mixers, ovens, proofers, conveyors, slicers and packaging equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines do not
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
• Be able to comply with Food Safety
• Assemble, install and/or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment on steam and
• Ensure that your department complies with all Health and Safety
• Diagnose and correct mechanical
• Inspect, operate,   and   test   machinery   and equipment to diagnose machine
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Record maintenance and repair work
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Projects and machine installation
