Mine Manager at Robert Walters

The Job

• The Mine Manager is responsible for the overall management of mining projects as well as assisting in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals, and evaluating performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Mine Manager will supervise all mine activities and resource allocation to ensure optimum performance
• Develop and implement effective training strategies and provide technical guidance
• Participate in enhancing community involvement and public relations
• Ensure compliance to all required health, safety and environmental standards
• Have strong knowledge around heavy machinery and maintenance schedules

Key Requirements:

• Mine Manager's Certificate of Competence
• Degree or Technical Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Blasting Certificate for Opencast Mines
• Mine Health and Safety Act (3.1) appointment
• 15 plus year's experience in extraction and excavation gold mining
• Must be willing to relocate to outside of South Africa under either family or single status
