Job Description

• A leading engineering solutions company is looking for an experienced Mobile Hydraulic Application Engineer with strong experience in mobile hydraulic systems, fluid power, and technical sales to join their team in Germiston. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting external customers, developing mobile hydraulic applications, and ensuring business growth through technical and sales excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer mobile machine hydraulic and control applications.
• Drive technical sales and provide expert product knowledge.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement business strategies.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
• Onboard and develop new customers in consultation with the National Project Sales Manager.
• Deliver technical and service support to customers.
• Grow sales within assigned customer bases while upholding company ethics and standards.
• Manage customer accounts and ensure client satisfaction.
• Assist the engineering and design office with design and product development.
• Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Conduct customer visits to promote and sustain business relationships.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports.
• Attend training courses and stay up to date with industry developments.

Requirements:

• Matric.
• Qualification in BEng, BSc, BTech Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering, or N6 Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years’ experience in an engineering and/or customer service environment.
• Good working knowledge of fluid power, hydraulics, and mobile machinery.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong communication (verbal and non-verbal) and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
