Mobile Solutions Architect at Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited

Role Purpose    

• Design comprehensive architecture for solutions that support business delivery on key projects and strategic objectives.

Requirements    

• Matric.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/ Information Technology and or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Post graduate degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology and or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Unified Modelling Language (UML) certficate.
• Domain Driven Design qualification.
• ArchiMate certification.
• TOGAF certificate.
• 8–10 years of experience in software engineering or IT solution delivery.
• 5+ years of hands-on mobile development experience.
• At least 3–5 years working extensively with Flutter and Dart.
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps at scale in iOS App Store and Google Play.
• Experience as a Solutions Architect, Lead Developer, or Technical Team Lead for at least 3 years.
• Experience designing mobile architectures including multi-platform apps, modular codebases, and scalable backend integrations.
• Experience in Agile delivery, DevOps practices, and leading distributed or cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience with large-scale mobile implementations, performance tuning, and complex system integrations.

Knowledge:

• Expert-level knowledge of Flutter and Dart, including state management patterns, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of mobile application architecture across iOS and Android, including native integrations, and hardware/OS capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns and API design standards.
• Knowledge of Database technologies for mobile apps
• Experience with modular and scalable application design, clean architecture, micro frontends/micro-app patterns, and domain-driven design (DDD).
• Exposure to cloud platforms and mobile backend services, including authentication, messaging, storage, and analytics.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices for mobile applications
• Good understanding of UI/UX concepts for mobile, responsive design, adaptive layouts, accessibility, and multi-device form factors.
• Security best practices, including secure storage, encryption, network security, and mobile OWASP guidelines.
• Documentation skills, using architecture notations appropriate for technical and business stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Analyse business requirements to determine viable options for solution design and ensure implementation addresses key issues, business strategic objectives and end-to-end solution
• Define and communicate business and solution architecture requirements to inform business cases in line with requirements.
• Design technical solutions that support the value chain and align to the overall enterprise
• Ensure that the business requirements are reflected in the design and that the appropriate business and technical services are reflected in the overall architecture.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and business analysts to understand and meet business
• Drive the implementation and governance of standards for the design, implementation and functioning of various solutions across the business.
• Manage the overall design, implementation and functioning of solutions in line with business
• Effectively prioritise projects and solutions based on the business's strategic priorities and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly.
• Coordinate various teams to ensure holistic and integrated solution design and delivery in line with business requirements.
• Operate across the technical levels within the enterprise architecture as well as the value chain in order to develop holistic and integrate solutions.
• Contribute to the analysis and development through facilitating and engaging in collaborative analysis sessions, ensuring integration through all affected systems.
• Collaborate with various teams to conduct Solution Architect reviews for a broad set of projects in order to meet business requirements.
