The successful incumbent is responsible to carry out daily operations of end-to-end processes in RMI from receiving, grading, storage and utilization of raw material in line with production requirements.
Responsibilities
Daily sampling and grading activities according to grading and sampling as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Activities required to loading of potatoes into stores
Bin selection activities and recording on RS View
Grading out mediums / smalls into boxes as per the SOPs.
Loading mediums / smalls to line as per the SOPs.
Activities to take potato's out of stores including Skidseer operations.
Potato stores preparation
Operate a forklift & Bobcat as and when required
Cleaning & safe housekeeping of area that the operator is working in on the day.
Identify and escalate maintenance issues to the Shift Supervisor
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent
Tertiary qualification in Agriculture/Production is preferred
Valid Forklift License with proven record of an accident free year.
Atleast 2 years working experience in a production environment.
Knowledge of potatoes handling and storage advantageous
Do accurate and efficient sampling and grading of incoming raw material
Execute timeous offloading of trucks.
Apply and maintain good safety practices.
Apply and maintain good raw material storage practices .
Medically fit and willing to work in a stressful environment
Willing to work shifts including over weekends as and when required
