National Distribution Manager at Tiger Brands

Focus Areas:

• Risk Management activities relating to the fleet and the delivery service in the trade.
• Develop the capability of the distribution team.
• Manage the distribution cost effectively
• Drive a Customer Service culture
• Manage the procurement process relating the all fleet at the bakeries
• Ensure compliance with all internal fleet policies and any transport legislation.

Key Tasks:

• Staff Deployment
• Initiate and Review Route Viabilities with the Bakery Teams with the aim of managing Distribution costs
• Talent & Performance Management
• Fleet organisation and optimal replacement plan
• Logistics Systems execution
• Cost Management
• Continuous benchmarking among bakeries with the aim of driving best practices and shared learnings
• Develop Fleet Audit documents and conduct fleet audits in all sites (Bakeries &  & Depots)

Experience

• A Diploma in Logistics Management or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience within a related environment
• Minimum 3 year management experience
• Computer literacy:  MS Office with advanced Excel capability
• Experience of co-ordinating a teams based in multiple sites.
