National Fleet Manager at Bidvest Prestige

Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Fleet Manager to oversee and manage our fleet operations on a national level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, logistics, and transportation, with demonstrated success in optimizing fleet performance and reducing operating costs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement national fleet management strategies that align with business goals and objectives
• Manage and oversee all aspects of fleet operations, including maintenance, scheduling, fuel management, and compliance
• Monitor fleet performance and utilization, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Oversee the procurement and disposal of fleet vehicles and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and internal departments
• Analyze data and metrics to track fleet performance and make data-driven decisions
• Manage a team of fleet supervisors and technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and support
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on fleet performance, KPIs, and budget

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in fleet management, with a proven track record of success
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Proficiency in fleet management software and systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Willingness to travel as needed
