.NET Developer - intermediate (UK Offshore - CCBP Asset Finance Group) (8298) at Investec Asset Management

Description

Investec is looking for a .NET Engineer in its Asset Lending Technology team based in Sandton.  Initially this SA team will be a small team of a team lead / product owner, 2 developers, 1 QA and 1 DevOps with a view to grow over time.  The candidate will be responsible for development projects across all of Asset Lending with a particular focus on our Client Communication Management. This role will require strong technical skills as well as the ability to account for the needs of a diverse group of stakeholders (working closely with the UK teams and business lines).

Reporting to Reshmee Pillay, the Asset Lending Technology Offshore Lead in Sandton, they will work with their colleagues in SA and UK to develop and maintain software solutions in this space. This role works collaboratively within a cross-functional product team to create and support rich, interactive applications that help consumers manage their data and processes. You are responsible for your area of specialisation, as well as for all aspects of product development from interacting with stakeholders and users, to design, development and deployment, through to production monitoring and support. 

We are a dynamic and diverse team of 20+ Developers and Analysts based in UK and SA who thrive on variety and working closely with the business. We are responsible for developing and supporting all core systems that originate and service loans across areas ranging from Asset Finance, Working Capital, and Vehicle lending. You will work closely with partners in Sales, Product Development and Operations to develop a keen understanding of how the bank operates and creates value from a £2bn+ Loanbook.

Experience, skill and capability

Essential Experience

•  Min 5 years Software Development experience in C#, .Net 6.0 and .Net Core
•  SQL Server with good knowledge of SQL and T-SQL
•  Source control and continuous integration – ideally with a GIT based tool
•  WebServices – REST / JSON
•  A lean / agile development mind-set
•  Test automation techniques and methods

Advantageous Experience

•  Azure exposure + Azure Functions
•  Azure Kubernetes Service
•  Azure Dev Ops
•  Application Gateway (WAF, Ingress Controller), 
•  Kubectl
•  TDD / DDD

Education

•  BSc in Computer Science or related field
