Purpose Statement

• Responsible for the design and development of new service orientated applications (SOA) according to specifications.

Experience

• A relevant IT qualification with 4 years' proven development experience
• Must have completed a relevant systems analysis and design course (or equivalent)
• Experience in payments and or banking systems
• Experience in the following development languages:

Minimum:

• C# or VB.Net

• MVC or MVVM Design Pattern

• SQL (any platform: T-SQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc)

• WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) & XAML

• ASP.Net / Java Script / HTML / CSS

• WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)

• Web Services Powershell

• .Net Framework

• UML

• XML

• IIS

• OO Development Methodologies

• An understanding of SOA

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• n/a in Information Technology

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• A relevant qualification in Information Technology or Information Technology - Systems Engineering

Knowledge

Min: Must have detailed knowledge of:

• IT systems development processes (SDLC)
• Application development
• Banking systems
• Standards and governance
• Agile development life cycle
• Testing practices

Ideal: Knowledge of:

• UML
• Systems analysis and design
