Network Specialist at PayFast

What you'll be doing

• Provide business as usual support to your workload and environment
• Be the technical owner of your workloads’ infrastructure
• Automating tasks that can and should be automated
• Explore ways to constantly improve quality of existing services, processes, and systems to maintain system effectiveness and reliability
• Work to implement and make sure environments are structured and built with redundancy and “key component” failures in mind
• Make sure environments and workloads are run as cost effective as possible
• Help to ensure the delivery of infrastructure solutions in line with PCI-DSS and other compliance requirements, including documentation
• Complete and perform daily, monthly and yearly audit requirements

What you'll need

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in networking
• 2 to 3 years routing experience (BGP / OSPF being of importance)
• Advanced experience with dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP, Route Filters, etc.)
• Experience with IPSec, GRE, and other secure tunneling methods, advantageous
• Candidate should be fluent in most Layer 1, 2, and 3 networking technologies and be able to diagnose and repair faults on all three network layer
• Previous experience with Amazon Web Services, with a core focus on connectivity, advantageous (VPN Gateways, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, Peering Connections, Routing, Security Groups, Hybrid Gateways, etc.)
• Valid CCNA (routing & switching) or MTCNA (certification will be verified)
• CCNP/CCIE advantageous but not required
