    Occupational Therapist Grade 1

    Requirements :

    • Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration: Currently registered with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist (independent practice). Knowledge: Sound knowledge of general Occupational Therapy principles, including rehabilitation, assessment, and analysis.
    • Sound knowledge of clinical theory practice and ethics relating to delivery of services within the vocational sector.
    • Advantage: One (1) year community service experience completed. Experience in Vocational rehabilitation.
    • Willingness to be trained in ergonomics exposure science, OHS, and functional comment assessments. Skills/Attributes: Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent planning, organizing, good interpersonal relations, and presentation skills. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and under pressure.

    Duties :

    • Provide occupational therapy services to employees in the physical field (assessment and treatment). Provide optimal and evidence-based vocational assessment and rehabilitation.
    • Be competent in administering a wide range of vocational standardized assessments. Execute employee and departmental administrative tasks (data compilation, stock management, monthly reports).
    • Plan and prepare for all internal and external audits. Participate in the mentorship and training of community service therapists and students. Implement departmental policy on training and continuous professional development (CPD).
