    Deputy Director- Occupational Hygienist

    Requirements :

    • A relevant 4-year degree or equivalent with Occupational Hygiene as a major (NQF 7).
    • A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession as an Occupational Hygienist.
    • 5 years’ must be appropriate experience in management will be add advantage. Registration: Must be SAIOH Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or registered with HPCSA as an Environmental Health Practitioner.
    • Knowledge: Knowledge of South African occupational health and safety laws (Mine Health and Safety Act, OHS Act). Advantage: Knowledge of Project Management and expertise in integrated quality management system (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001). Other: Must be a South African citizen and possess a Driver’s License.

    Duties :

    • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of direct reports. Perform occupational hygiene surveys, field visits, and inspections. Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).

    Occupational Therapist Grade 1

    Requirements :

    • Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration: Currently registered with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist (independent practice). Knowledge: Sound knowledge of general Occupational Therapy principles, including rehabilitation, assessment, and analysis.
    • Sound knowledge of clinical theory practice and ethics relating to delivery of services within the vocational sector.

    Occupational Medical Specialist

    Requirements :

    • A Master’s degree in medicine (MMed) or Fellow of the college of FCPHMP (SA) or equivalent, meeting HPCSA definition of an Occupational Medical Specialist.

    Occupational Medical Registrar

    Requirements :

    • Qualification in Occupational Medical Practice allowing registration with HPCSA as an Occupational Medical Practitioner. Registration with HPCSA as an Independent Medical Practitioner.
    • Must be post Community Service. Other: Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident. Proof of current HPCSA registration. Must be willing to commute overtime.
    • Appointment Structure: Jointly appointed between the Gauteng Provincial Government (GDOH) and tertiary institutions (SMU, University of Pretoria, WITS). Primary employees of GDOH.

    Duties :

    • Interview, investigate, diagnose, and oversee the treatment of employees/patients.

    Assistant Director- Occupational Hygienist Technologist

    Requirements :

    • Qualification: Must have a science-based degree or environmental health or equivalent. Registration: Must be SAIOH Registered Occupational Hygienist Technologist and appropriately certified by the SAIOH Certification Committee.
    • A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession as an Occupational Hygienist
    • Experience: 2–3 years’ appropriate experience, with at least 1–2 years working experience as a Technologist. Knowledge of the OHS Act (85 of 1993 as amended) and all relevant regulations/guidelines. Knowledge of project management.
    • Skills: Proficient in MS Office suite. Excellent technological report writing skills. Ability to recognise potential health hazards/risks and effective measures to reduce/eliminate them.

    Requirements :
