OM Sampler at BKB Ltd

Responsible for opening grab samples on the display area for the wool buyers to value.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Grade 12
2. 2 years minimum work experience in the wool store
3. Must take responsibility for own work output
4. Good interpersonal skills
5. Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
6. Must be able to work in a team

Key Responsibilities

1. Opening grab samples:

• Open grab sample plastic and fluff-up/loosen the wool sample for valuating.
• Pin up test request sheet for viewing.

2. Handling of samples

• Pack out samples for viewing by wool buyers.
• Return samples with two test request sheets to OM so that Length and strength samples can be taken.
• Ensure grab sample are always identifiable and wool is not falling out. 

3. House Keeping

• Sweep the aisles between the boxes.
• Use the blower to clean under the tables.
• Pick-up wool laying on the floor.
• Ensure the display area is clean and tidy.

4. Health and Safety

• Adhering to the rules and regulations of Health and Safety

5. Ad Hoc

• To perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks/ as requested by his/her superior anywhere in the plant (BKB)
