    On Site Service Technician - Level II

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

    • Customer Engagement: By engaging customers courteously and professionally, you'll build strong relationships and ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
    • Technical Expertise: Using specialized tools and documented procedures, you'll diagnose and complete less complex repairs, ensuring high-quality service.
    • Preventative Maintenance: Coaching customer employees on preventative maintenance and basic repairs will help them maintain their equipment and reduce downtime.
    • Issue Escalation: By escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors, you'll ensure that complex problems are addressed promptly.
    • Documentation: Completing required documentation accurately will support warranty claims, quality control, and service records, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
    • Continuous Learning: Completing training in line with skill and business requirements will keep you updated on the latest techniques and tools, enhancing your effectiveness.
    • Work Area Maintenance: Maintaining cleanliness and proper operation of your work area and tools will ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
    • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and reporting any issues will help maintain a safe workplace for everyone.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Strong Diagnostic Skills: Ability to translate customer complaints into effective troubleshooting plans, using specialized tools and software to isolate and resolve issues.
    • Proficiency with Electronic Service Tools: Knowledge of the hardware and software tools required for service events, and the ability to interpret their results to determine the next steps.
    • Understanding of Engine Systems: Capability to analyze interactions between various electrical and mechanical systems, using service publications and tools to diagnose and repair efficiently.
    • Expertise in Product Repair and Maintenance: Skills to repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products, following guidelines and using the required tools to ensure quality repairs and minimize customer costs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/ Experience

    • Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred).
    • Locally valid driving permit
    • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
    • Minimum of N2 certificate mechanical.
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience post apprentice.
    • Diesel mechanic trade test certificate or millwright trade test certificate.
    • Experience working on engines.
    • Customer service experience
