Key Duties and Responsibilities

Online learner support

• Conduct virtual tutoring sessions for learners across relevant subjects and grade levels.
• Respond to learner-submitted questions, providing clear, concise, and accurate explanations.
• Provide constructive feedback on assignments and assist learners in preparing for assessments.

Resource utilisation and curriculum alignment

• Use Maskew Miller Learning’s educational resources, including digital tools and CAPS-aligned materials, to support learners.
• Ensure all responses and tutoring align with the CAPS curriculum.

Task completion

• Complete tutoring related tasks provided by Maskew Miller Learning, ensuring they meet quality and curriculum standards.
• Submit completed tasks to the company within agreed timelines for delivery to learners.

Learner engagement and progress monitoring

• Maintain effective communication with learners through digital platforms.
• Track learner progress and provide updates to relevant stakeholders when required.

Professional development and collaboration

• Stay informed about the latest trends in online tutoring and educational resources.
• Participate in training sessions and team discussions to enhance service delivery.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject field.
• A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ teaching or online tutoring experience.
• Familiarity with the CAPS curriculum is essential.
