    Operational Manager (Mambedwini Clinic)

    REQUIREMENTS :

    • Degree/National Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery. Only shortlisted candidate will submit proof of current registration with SANC (2026) as a Professional Nurse and Midwifery. A Post Basic nursing qualification with a duration of at least 1 year in Curative skills in Primary Health Care accredited with SANC Experience: A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. At least 5 years of the period referred above must be appropriate /recognisable after obtaining the 1 year post basic qualification in the relevant specialty. Certificate of Service endorsed by Human Resource as proof of experience. (Only if shortlisted). Additional information Diploma in Nursing Management, Computer literacy. Valid Driver’s license Code B (08) will serve as a recommendation.
    • Knowledge, Skills, Training, And Competencies Required: Knowledge of SANC Rules and Regulations, Knowledge of Legislative Framework and Departmental prescripts. Leadership, organisational, Decision making, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Basic financial management skills. Knowledge of Human Resource Management. Personal Attitude, Responsive, Professionalism, Supportive, Assertive and Team player role. Communication skills and decision making skills. Leadership and supervisory skills. 

    DUTIES :

    • Assist in planning, organising and monitoring of objectives of the specialised unit/department. Manage all resources within the unit effectively and efficiently to ensure optimum service delivery. Ability to plan and organise own work and that of support personnel to ensure proper nursing care. Display a concern for patients, promoting and advocating proper treatment and care. Monitor Provision of quality comprehensive service delivery at PHC clinic. Participate actively in Operation Sukuma Sakhe programme. Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. Demonstrate effective communication with patients, community and multidisciplinary team. Monitor safe patient service and improve client satisfaction. Participate in the attainment of Norms and Standards (OHSC). Contribute to the realization of Ideal Clinic (ICRM) status.
    • Participate in the analysis and formulation of nursing policies and procedures. Provide direct and indirect supervision of all staff within the unit and give guidance. Demonstrate an understanding of Human Resource and Financial Management Policies and procedures. Monitor and evaluate the care and management of all patients through clinical audits. Ability to supervise PHC emergencies and refer appropriately. Monitor implementation of PHC Re-Engineering Monitor implementation and performance on indicators on daily, weekly and monthly basis; provide feedback to management, analyse data and draw up quality improvement plan and implementation plan. Exercise control of discipline and any other Labour Related issues in terms of laid down procedures. Ensure complaint management is functional in the Clinic Ensure functionality of the Clinic committee programme so that community involvement and participation is achieved.
