What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

• As the O&M technical manager you will be responsible for allocating and managing the tasks done by your direct reports – a team of designated technicians across a range of Grid, Off Grid as well as Solar Thermal sites. Managing a team is second nature to you and training is obviously part of this. Your main task is to maintain the world class quality standard of the installation including ensuring technical legislative compliance, accreditations etc. Daily operations and monitoring are expected as well as developing the departments technical working procedures. We don’t need to tell you this, but client relationships are super crucial, you know where the bread and butter comes from.

Where you’ll be doing it

• You will be working for an ambitious renewable energy organisation specializing in off-grid and grid-tied solutions. They have a young and dynamic team that work at a fast pace and are passionate about what they do.

What you’ll need

• Off the bat and not negotiable, you need to have your electrical trade test (3 phase) AND your wireman’s license. You need to be able to work across multiple projects, managing various sites at one time. Your computer literacy is top notch alongside in-depth knowledge of solar plant software and hardware. Your in-depth knowledge of both PV grid-tied, PV off-grid, storage and generator systems and sufficient knowledge on hot water systems will open the door to this exciting opportunity.
