• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations manager to lead our pack station in Lanseria, Gauteng. The position reports directly to the National Packstations Manager and will also be responsible for the unit’s business results. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the pack station, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. This includes managing the pack station in terms of the Intake process, Planning, Quality and related Sales & Distribution function
• Manage inbound and outbound distribution process, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of products
• Oversee production processes thus, ensuring quality and efficiency
• Oversee maintenance of equipment and facilities
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet customer demands and satisfaction
• Implement quality control measures to ensure product standards are in line with GMP and FSSC V6
• Implement and develop operational plans to optimize efficiency and productivity
• Efficient cost and stock management
• Manage and motivate the workforce
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and health & safety standards. 
• Deliver financial results (Income statement, budget, variance reports)
• Submission of credible month-end reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Operations Management or Engineering (Essential)
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry
• Strong knowledge of logistics, production and quality control processes
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Ability to work and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum of 5 years relevant management experience in a manufacturing or related environment 
• Successful commercial track record
• Ability to operate at a Senior Management level
• SageX3 experience (advantageous)
• Management of capital budgets and projects
• Management of suppliers, service providers, and third-party contractors
• Effective people and performance management
