What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

• You will be in charge of all operational activities for the company’s PV and Energy Efficiency divisions. This will include project engineering, project and construction management, purchasing and logistics as well as overseeing all operations and maintenance.
• In this position you will be responsible for managing the project teams as well as the construction staff. You will work closely with the company’s clients and other construction professionals. You will be responsible for monitoring deadlines and budgets for new projects and overseeing the maintenance of existing plants. You will also be required to ensure HSE compliance and to train and coordinate the training of employees on HSE and technical issues.

Where you’ll be doing it

• Your new employer is an international Energy Efficiency developer that has been operating for 13 years, with a presence in 15 countries across the world. They offer their customers full solutions from project design, construction, financing, management, operation and monitoring.
• When you are not travelling to see clients, you will be based in a wonderful office in Cape Town, with beautiful views of the ocean. What you’ll need

• Your technical or commercial qualification combined with your minimum of ten years’ experience in operations management within Solar PV and Energy Efficiency solutions in the Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Mining sectors will see you qualify for this position.
• You come with knowledge of cooling cycles and thermodynamics and have the ability to manage large complex projects. You are or have in the past, managed diverse teams from multiple different departments.   
• You have the ability to travel nationally and internationally. You work well independently and within a team and you have a self-motivated and positive attitude.
